Kay Barton Reese, the daughter of Virgil Lavern Barton and Wanda Nadine German Barton, was born December 30, 1946 at Hartshorn, Missouri. She went to be with Jesus on Friday, August 15, 2008 while a patient at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri making her age 61 years.
She was united in marriage to Donald (Dee) Shoults November 16, 1963. They had two children, Donald Darren and Linda Raina. Dee Passed away in 1993. June 25, 1995, Kay and Justin Reese were married. Justin and Kay made their home in the Mountain View area.
Kay worked for the past 10 years at Bob's TV and Appliance. Kay also worked for Angelica Uniform Company in Summersville. Kay enjoyed going to the lake with her family and tending to her flowers. She enjoyed antique shops, and looking at the many things that were in them.
In her youth, she was a member of the Hartshorn Assembly of God Church. She and Justin were attending the First Baptist Church in Mountain View.
Kay is preceded in death by her father, Virgil Barton, and her sister, Deloris Barton.
She is survived by her husband, Justin Reese of Mountain View, MO; son, Darren Shoults and wife, Norma, of Vancouver, Canada; daughter, Linda Higgins and husband, Chris, of Mountain View, MO; mother, Wanda Barton of Hartshorn, MO; brothers, Delbert Barton of Hartshorn, MO and Wilbert Barton and wife, Judy, of Mountain View, MO; four grandchildren, Ryan Shoults, Dustin Schulz, Sara Schulz, and Alex Higgins, and a host of other family members.
Services were held Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with Rev. John Noble officiating. Interment was in Antioch Cemetery under the care of Bradford Funeral Home.
