Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday in Dannel Funeral Chapel here for W. F. Benedict 72, of 706 N. Elm St., a retired Hardwicke-Etter employee, who died at 12:15 p.m. in his home, after a long illness.

Jack Exum, minister of the Grand Ave, Church of Christ, and the Rev Clyde Beck, pastor of the Whiterock Baptist Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with nephews as pallbearers.

Mr. Benedict was born Jan. 12, 1888 in Boonville, Mo., a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William T. Benedict. He came to Texas and settle in Sherman 63 years ago. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors besides his wife, Mrs. Eva Lee Benedict of Sherman, are two sons, Willy Benedict and Dorchester Benedict, both of Sherman; two half-brothers, Rudell Benedict of San Diego, Calif., and Elmer Benedict of Los Angeles, Calif.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Thelma Maxwell of Sherman and Mrs. Marie Smith of Denison; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
