Bill Joe Stigleman of Junction City died Sept. 25 of cancer. He was 71. He was born Nov. 12, 1931, in Rhea, Okla. to Roy and Cora Milner Stigleman. His family moved to Junction City from Oklahoma when he was six. He graduated from Junction City High School in 1949.
He served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at Georgia Pacific mill on Prairie Road for 49 years before retiring in 1999. He won 97 bowling trophies and once bowled a perfect 300-point game. He also enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
Survivors include a sister, Leola Stigleman of Banks.
The funeral was held Sept. 27 at Lane Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Eugene. Burial was at Lane Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Sacred Heart.
