Daughter of Simeon and Elizabeth Stewart Davis. 1st wife of Parmer Sanford Brown who she divorced around late 1872 in Clinton County, Michigan. Mother to John Eugene and Charles Thomas Brown. Charles died in 1864 and is buried in the Old Jacksonville Cemetery, Lysander, Onondaga County, New York.

Rosetta Davis Brown was born in New York State Nov. 7th 1833 and died January 24th 1917, being 83 years, two months and seventeen days of age.
She was married July 29th 1849 to Sanford Brown and began life's journey, enduring the hardships of early pioneers. Fifty two years ago they followed Indian trails from their birth place to Elsie, Clinton, County where she resided until seventeen years ago, when she moved with her son Eugene Brown to a farm about four miles west of this city. Four years ago they moved to Owosso.
Two children were born to the deceased, Eugene who died four years ago and Charles E. who passed away at the age of 12 years, and with the passing of the deceased is the last of the family.
In early years Rosetta Davis was a member of the Methodist Church, but in later life through mental and other disabilities was not able to take an active part in church work. Her last hours were those of a deep sleep when she passed to her redeemer.
