Bridget Renee (Adams) Carpenter, 35, Anderson, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 20, 2008, at Saint John's Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 5, 1972, in Anderson, and was a lifelong Anderson resident. She was employed at the Madison County Sheriff Department as dispatcher 13 years, was a homemaker and a loving mother.

She was a member of AMVETS, Ladies Auxiliary Post 692, and Elks Lodge 209.

Survivors include her husband, Darren Carpenter, whom she married Dec. 6, 2003; son, Ryan Lee Carpenter, father and stepmother, Dennis and Sharon Adams; mother, Karen (Hervey) Boles; paternal grandmother, Betty Adams; brother, Corey Adams of Georgia; stepbrother, Travis Benfield of Anderson; very special aunt and uncle, Dave and Debbie Swanson; special cousin, Sean Swanson; in-laws, Gary and Marti Carpenter; grandmother-in-law, Norma Kurtz; sisters-in-law, Barb and Brad Teague and Jenny and Kenny Dowden; very close to and had special relationships with her nieces and nephews, Cody and Haylee Teague, Devon, Dustin, Dylan Dowden, Isaiah Adams, Carl and Hunter Benfield; cousins, Dave and Diane Todd, Ted and Cheryl Miller and Vickie Welker; and several special friends.She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Betty Hervey; grandfather, Leo Adams; and uncle, Danny Welker.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Jamie Woodyard of Kingston Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Elks memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday.
