Thank you to all who visit Buttons.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Black gave you to us when you were 6 months old. It was 3 weeks before Christmas in 1998. You were a good little puppy. You cried the first night here and the second night here we put you on our bed and you always slept there.

Amanda our daughter came home from college the following week for Christmas and she taught you to sit and a few more tricks. You would go to sleep in her arms. You won our hearts and you always went with us. There were many trips to Western Carolina University. Years quickly passed and we went to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in January 2007 to see Amanda. You rode well for the 12 1/2 hour trip and really enjoyed yourself there as she had doggie doors and a fenced yard.

You got sick in July and Dr. Hemstreet did all he could to help you but all failed. You were a great friend. It was a joy to go on long walks with you. Taking the trash out was always a treat for you as you knew you were going for a ride. I still feel you in the truck and know you are always with us. None of us will forget Buttons!!
