When he was 11 months old his parents came to Jefferson county, taking a homestead four miles northwest of Fairbury.
On Feb. 10, 1895 he married Grace.
They continued farming until her death December 23, 1934.
He was a member of the First Methodist church of Fairbury.
Surviving are three daughters:
Mrs. W.B. Trimble, of Lincoln
Mrs. A.H. Lewis of Battlecreek
Mrs. Ed Bartel of San Diego, California
Five sisters:
Mrs. John Schoenrock
Mrs. Ward Reesman,
Margaret Aden of Fairbury
Mrs. Joe Carstens of Elko, Nevada
Mrs. Charles Hasse of Beatrice
Five grandchildren
Four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were March 12 from Traum Funeral Home Chapel
Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
