Imogene C. Dyer, 87, of Yates Center died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, in Wichita.
She was born July 7, 1921, in Toronto, to Warrick and Maude Redfern Osborn. She grew up in Toronto and was graduated from high school there in 1957.
On Dec. 27, 1936, she was married to Omer Dyer in independence, They opened Dyers Body Shop in Yates Center, and she helped her husband by going after parts. He died Sept. 18, 2004.
She enjoyed playing cards, dancing and helping her husband with a Christmas display in their yard that people drove for miles to see.
Survivors include two daughters, Joy Dyer, Yates Center, and Donna Old, Newton; two grandchildren, Justin and Tyson; and one great-grandson.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center. Interment will be in Toronto Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
