Eagle River resident MARGARET MARY (SMITH) GREEN, 68, died Jan 26, 2003, at Alaska Regional Hospital of injuries suffered in a car accident. A memorial service was held at St. Andrew's Parish, 16601 Artillery Road, Eagle River.
Mrs. Green was born Nov. 28, 1934, in Nottingham, England. She moved to Washington state. Later, she and her husband, Frank, moved to Eagle River, which was her home for more than 18 years. Her family wrote:''Margaret's enthusiasm and love for youth and their challenges motivated her to be of service to them. She made a difference in the lives of several young people. ''She will be remembered by her neighbors and family as one who loved to visit and share stories.''
Mrs. Green is survived by her husband, Frank Green of Eagle River; and her brother, Michael Cartledge of Lancashire, England. The family suggests donations to the charity of the donor's choice. Local arrangements are with Witzleben Family Funeral Home.
