John Joseph Badner

John Joseph Badner, formerly of West Chester, PA, and more recently of Northminster, DE, died August 15, 2008. He had been living at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, James and Susan Badner in Wilmington, DE.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James and Mary Badner. John was a gifted artist and graduated from Dobbins Technical School in Phila-delphia. He went on to work for the US Postal Service in Philadelphia where he ran their Art and Graphics Department for many years. After retirement from the USPS, John served for years as tipstaff at the Chester County Court House.

He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Pauline; sisters Anne Spohn and Eleanor (Nell) Herman and brother Michael Badner. He is survived by his 2 sons, John Badner and his wife, Clare of Exton, PA, and James Badner and his wife, Susan of Wilmington, DE; grandson, Geoffrey Badner and his wife, Susan; a great-granddaughter, Sasha Eileen, all of NY; brother, William Badnaruk of Elverson, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2008 from 11 am to 1 pm at the McCRERY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 3924 Concord Pike (Rt. 202 S. of Silverside Rd.), Wilmington, DE 19803 with interment immediately following at Philadelphia Memorial Park in Frazer, PA.
