Mrs. Hannah Brown, 87, died Monday, October 21, at her home in Monroe from causes incident to old age. She was the oldest resident in Monroe. She was born February 11, 1853, in Galton, Denmark.
She came to Richfield in 1877, and after a short time moved to Monroe, where she had since resided. She married Christian Brown in the St. George temple. They were the parents of nine children, five of whom survive her. She also reared two grandchildren, Mrs. Crystal Gray and Anna Brown.
Mrs. Brown has been an active worker in the relief society.
Surviving are one son and four daughters, Magda and Dora Brown, Mrs. Manilla Lundgreen and James Brown of Monroe and Mrs. Adell Chidester of Richfield; 19 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
