Carl Bradley Floyd, passed away Oct. 11, 1987 at Veteran's Hospital in OKC. A veteran of WWI, he was born Nov. 7, 1898 near Adairsville, Ga. ""Brad'', as he was known to his many friends, was a retired employee of Sun Oil Co. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Walter and Mayme Floyd; 3 brothers, Chester Lee, Charles Arthur, and E.W. Floyd; 2 sisters, Ruth Wofford and Emma Lessley; and a son, Col. Wayne Floyd. He is survived by his wife, Bessie of the home in Sallisaw, Ok.; 1 daughter, Barbara Moore of Bethany Ok.; 4 sons, Charles Floyd of Edmond, Ok., Cleatus Floyd of Las Vegas, Nv., Bayne Floyd and Glendon Floyd, both of Moore, Ok.; 2 sisters, Ruby Spears of Vian and Mary Carlton of Sallisaw; also 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. The funeral will be at Agent Funeral Home, Sallisaw, Ok. at 2pm, Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1987, interment at Akins Cemetery, Akins, Ok., Sequoyah County. He was a member of Akins Baptist Church. He will be at rest (up on the hill) near his relatives at Akins Cemetery. To know him was to love him.
