Mrs. Annie Lucille Meadows McKinnon, 76, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday evening, March 3, 2005. Mrs. McKinnon was born in Vero Beach, Florida on October 25, 1928, the daughter of the late Fay Meadows and Nelle McCully Meadows. Mrs. McKinnon had lived in Jacksonville for more than sixty years. She was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and a member of Jacksonville Baptist Temple. Mrs. McKinnon was a dedicated wife and home maker. She was an understanding and inspiring Mother, and a kind and loyal sister and friend. Her compassion for others, her generousity, her and warm sense of humor and that beautiful smile, will be greatly missed. She leaves behind to mourn her passing, her devoted husband of 48 years, Joe B. McKinnon, Sr.: five loving children, Debra Montgomery, Joe (Wanda) McKinnon, Jr., Scott (Janet) McKinnon, Roxanne (Wesley) McCord, and Michael (Pennie) McKinnon; four wonderful sisters, Frances Bryant, Carrie Vituschi, Linda Dion, and Jean Diamond; two wonderful brothers, Raymond Meadows and Bill Meadows. She was preceeded in death by her parents and her brothers, Joseph Stevens and Gordon Meadows. She was the proud Grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Services were held in the chapel at Peeples Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with her brother in law, the Reverand James McKinnon officiating. Internment followed at Edgewood Cemetary, Jacksonville, Florida.
