C. defenses; on March 13, 1865 he was brevet Capt. U. S. Army for war service; March 7, 1867 promoted to Capt permanent. On July 17, 1881 promoted to Major, Died April 16, 1883 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co, Pennsylvania and buried in Laurel Grove Cemetery at Savannah, GA.
