REG. (1829-1913 Boonville Town Cemetery).
Jeferson, born ca.1829 the son of William and Catherine Jefferson was living in their household in 1850.
He is listed as a farmer and was attending school (1850 Surry). He was living in Yadkin County on 8-29-1862 and
was wounded near Fredericksburg, VA. about 12-13-1862. Returned to duty before 3-1-1853. Wounded again in the finger near Fredericksburg, Virginia on 5-24-1863. Hospitalized at Danville, VA. Deserted on 5-25-1863 and transferred to Co. I, 28th Reg. on 10-30-1863. He was paroled at Lynchburg, 1865 (NCT YIII, 213; XIII, 322-323).
