Donald Norman Anderson the son of Lorenzo and Mary Gavin Anderson was born Jun 2, 1932 in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in Los Angeles and attended school there graduating from Washington High School in 1950. Donald entered the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War on the U.S.S. Iowa. He was united in marriage to Blanche E. Kingery on April 30, 1954 in Los Angeles, California. Donald lived [in] the Los Angeles area until 1988 when he moved to Minnesota to be near his family. Donald passed away on November 15, 2002 at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne, MN at the age of 70. He enjoyed woodcarving after his retirement and surfing, swimming, boating and fishing when he was younger. Donald is survived by one son, ** of Chugwater, Wyoming and one daughter, ** of Fulda, MN; three grandchildren, ** of Searcy, AR, ** and ** of Fulda, MN and ** of Slayton MN; two great-grandchildren and Blanche Anderson of Fulda, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Calvin Anderson. Funeral services were held at Prairie Hill Cemetery, Fulda, MN on November 19, 2002 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Allan Bakke officiating. Interment at Prairie Hill Cemetery, Fulda, MN with full Military Honors provided by the Fulda VFW Post 9017 and Fulda American Legion Post 318.
