I have found Miller Clarke's mother!!! I went to the library today and read the account of the murder of H.P. Miller. and it mentioned his only child, Mrs E.M. Brown. I found Katie to be married to Ezekiel M Brown and they one child, Mary Ailleen Brown, who married Maurice Bray. I will send you more by email, including H.P. Miller's obituary and a news report of Miller Clarke's death. Katie is buried in Oregon.

Little Horace Miller Clark, aged about five years, the bright little son and only child of Superintendent and Mrs. Horace W Clarke, died at the residence of his grandparents, Capt. and Mrs. H.P. Miller, in this city, last Tuesday morning of pneumonia, after several days' illness. Capt. Mann sent up a special train from Jackson with horses and carriages and a large number of people to attend the funeral, which took place on Wednesday, with services at the hotel by Rev. J.P. Weaver. It is peculiarly a sad death, and the stricken parents and grand parents have the sincere condolence of our whole community.
