Albert R. "Dick" Johnston, age 77 of Maple Avenue, DuBois, PA passed away August 4, 2008 at the DuBois Nursing Home.

He was born November 22, 1930 in DuBois, PA to the late Irey and Helen (Gearhart) Johnston.
He married Beverly (Rugh) Johnston July 27, 1957 in DuBois, PA. She survives.

He was a graduate of DuBois High School and attended DuBois Business College.
He was a member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.
He was US Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.
He had been employed for the B & O Railroad and CSX Railroad for approximately 40 years.
He was a member of the Garfield Lodge #559 F.& A.M.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was a beekeeper and enjoyed his grandchildren.

He is survived by four children: Mrs. Joseph (Kathy) Fustine, DuBois; Mrs. Pat (Karen) Kalgren, New York; David R. Johnston and Mrs. Jeff (Kerry) Garthwaite both of DuBois; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister Joyce Johnston, Brockway and a brother Bill Johnston, Florida.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Shirlee Barber, Joann Alvetro, and an infant son Donald D. Johnston.
