BROCK ELISE (STERNBERG) Wife of the late Dr. Kurt Brock, passed away May 24, 2003, 3 months prior to her 96th Birthday. She leaves daughter, Inga Mitchell, wife of the late Sheldon Mitchell and Susanne Steinberg (Murray), 8 grandchildren, William, Miriam, David, Daniel, Thomas, Matthew, Michael, Benjamin and 20 great grandchildren. Born in Poland, taken to Vienna Australia as an infant, raised in Vienna, matriculated as "Master" Dress Maker which she used while still in Europe and for some years. In the U.S.A. shifting to work with her husband in his medical practice as Office Manager and Bookkeeper until retirement in 1990. After her husband's death in 1994, she emerged herself volunteering to explain medical care to pryor Summitt patients, she also helped as a tutor at Lake View School, she took up the computer at age 89 years old and very much enjoyed keeping up with family and friends. In the early years of their immigration, they helped many other members of her husband's family, by including them in her household, until they could manage on their own. She remained in her own home until the end. She was a remarkable woman, kind, generous and much loved. She will be sorely missed. She was a member of Temple Beth Abraham since 1945, Rabbi Mark Bloom of T.B.A. will officiate. Graveside at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2003 at the Home of Eternity Cemetery, 5000 Piedmont Ave., Oakland, CA. Colonial Chapel Funeral Directors Since 1941 510-536-5454 FD461.
