Betty L. Herndon, 68, died February 3, 1987, at Hamilton County Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was a lifetime resident of Syracuse and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Syracuse. A homemaker, she was an accomplished artist in ceramics and china painting and won awards in candle making. Survivors include her son Keith H. Gould of Syracuse; her mother, Evalena Herndon of Lakin; a brother, Harry Herndon of Syracuse; a sister Peggy Frazer of Kendall; two grandchildren and two great-granchildren. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. MST Friday at First Presbyterian Church, Syracuse, the Rev. Dr. William H. Dummer. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.
