Funeral services for Mrs. Cynthia Ann Ellis, who died Saturday in Kansas City, KS, were held this afternoon at 1:30 at the Wilson-Johnson Mortuary. Rev. Ernest A. Ham of the First Christian church, officiated.

Mrs. Chas. Tice and Mrs. Melvin T. Surrie sang, "In the Garden," and "The Old Rugged Cross." They were accompanied by Miss Helen Loy.

The pallbearers were: Lester Covert and Eldon Covert of Topeka, KS; Fletcher Ellis, Topeka, KS, Howard Jury, Kansas City, KS, Walter Meeker, Ft. Scott, KS, and Francis Meeker, Chanute, KS.

Mrs. Ellis lived in this community many years ago.

Burial was in Brown cemetery, southeast of Urbana, KS, by the side of her husband.

Among those here from out of town for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Jury and son Howard of Kansas City, KS, Mr. and Mrs. J. Covert and son, Lester, and daughter, Carol, and Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Covert of Topeka, KS; Lawrence Ellis and son, Fletcher, of Topeka, KS; Miss Violet Greve of St. Paul, KS; L. B. Meeker of Erie, KS; W. V. Meeker of Thayer, KS; Mrs. Theresa Foster and son, Harold, and daughter, Jean, of Thayer, KS; Mrs. Angie Ticknor of Topeka, KS; and Mrs. Nancy Godfrey of Topeka, KS.
