Dagmar Nicholena Andersen was born January 8, 1910 near Hardy, Nuckolls County, Nebraska. Her parents were Anton Andersen and Sena (Rasmussen) Andersen.

On April 28, 1936, Dagmar Andersen married Robert Keith Lance in Fairbury, Jefferson County, Nebraska. They eventually became the parents of two daughters.

On April 16, 1940, Dagmar N. Lance was 30 years old and living with her 33-year-old farmer husband, Keith R. Lance, and their 2-year-old daughter, Connie Lea Lance. They were lodging with Keith's parents, Ross W. and Daisy M. Lance in Hardy Township, Nuckolls County, Nebraska. The 1940 Nebraska federal census also shows Dagmar was born in Nebraska, she had a 2-year high school education, she had lived in the same house on April 1, 1935 [sic], her occupation was listed as 'home housework', she did not work outside the home in 1939, and she had no other source of income.

On May 11, 1984, Dagmar's husband, Robert Keith Lance, passed away at Superior in Nuckolls County at age 77. Dagmar did not remain a widow for long. In June 1985, she remarried to Arthur Leslie Pedersen. However, this was to be a short-lived marriage, as he passed away November 25, 1986 at age 73.

On October 8, 2000, Dagmar Lance passed away in Nelson, Nuckolls County, Nebraska at age 90. She was laid to rest in Hardy City Cemetery in Hardy, Nebraska.

On October 19, 2000, the Nelson Gazette published an obituary for Dagmar, which reads: "Dagmar N. Pedersen, daughter of Anton and Sena (Rasmussen) Andersen, was born January 8, 1910, on a farm in Nuckolls County, Nebraska, near Hardy. She departed this life on Sunday, October, 8, 2000, at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson, Nebraska, at the age of 90 years and 9 months. As a young girl she attended Beech country school in Nuckolls County and later attended Cadams High School. April 29, 1936, Dagmar was united in marriage to Keith Lance at Fairbury, Nebraska. This union was blessed with two daughters. They farmed near Hardy until 1974 when they moved into Hardy to retire. Keith died in May of 1984. In June of 1985, Dagmar married Art Pedersen. He died in November of 1986. Dagmar moved to Nelson in 1993. She became a resident of the Nelson Good Samaritan Center in 1996. Dagmar was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She worked many years side-by-side with her husband, Keith, on their farm. She was a member of the Hardy Union Church, Eastern Star and the Never Idle Club. Preceding her in death, besides her husbands, were her parents; grandson, Paul Otter; and two sisters, Agnes (Cleveland) O'Bradovich and Anna Miller. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Dondlinger and her husband Gene of Shickley, Nebraska, and Connie Otter and her husband Paul of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Jill and Mike Boydstun, Ted Dondlinger, Sam Dondlinger, Micki and Randy McKibben; and great grandchildren, Deborah and Koreen Boydstun, Nolan and Evan Dondlinger and Mitchell McKibbin. Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 11, 2000, at 10:30 a.m., at the Hardy Union Church with Reverend Robert Kraus officiating. Burial was in the Hardy Cemetery, Hardy, Nebraska. Williams Funeral Home of Superior, Nebraska, was in charge of the arrangements."
