Edith Gast Clifford, age 92 of Valparaiso, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Whispering Pines Nursing Home, Valparaiso.
She was born in Valparaiso, IN on January 20, 1912, daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Henderlong) Gast. Former bookkeeper for the O.L. Allanson Insurance Company in Valparaiso; member of St. Paul Catholic Church and Altar-Rosary Society.
Survived by six children: Robert (Loretta Juskiw) Clifford of Valparaiso, William Clifford of Indianapolis, JoAnn (Joseph) Varda of Mackinaw, IL, Larry (Amy) Clifford of South Bend and Richard (Nancy) Clifford of Valparaiso, daughter-in-law: Judy Clifford of South Bend; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by husband Edward T. Clifford, infant son Richard, son Michael E. Clifford, four sisters, Ann, Mary, Magdeline and Helen and two brothers Francis X. and Louis Leo Gast.
There will be no visitation. Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, November 27, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 W. Harrison Blvd., Valparaiso, IN with Rev. Joseph Pawlowski officiating.
Burial of cremains at St. Paul Cemetery. Family wishes memorials to VNA Home Hospice and St. Paul Education Center. The family invites friends to a 12:30 p.m. luncheon at the St. Timothy Center, 1855 Harrison Blvd., Valparaiso, IN (next to St. Paul's Church).
