Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha O. Lemoine, 70,will be held at 10:30am Friday in the chapel of Hardage and Sons Arlington Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth L. Hansen, pastor of the Main Street Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Park. Members of Olive Branch Rebecca Lodge 18 (?) will conduct graveside rites. Mrs. Lemoine who lived at 2325 Brest Road died early Wednesday morning in a local hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Rentz, Ga and had lived in Jacksonville since 1932 moving here from Sanford. She was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church, past noble grand of Olive Branch Rebekah Lodge 18 (or 13 or 16), past president of the Women's Benefit Association Review 22, past oracle of Royal Neighbors of America Friendship Camp 8173 and a member of several civic clubs. Survivors include 3 sons, Cecil Jerome, Robert Donald, and Gerald Rae Lemoine, all of Jacksonville; three brothers, Ed and J. T. Bass of Jacksonville, and Clifford Bass of Denver Colorado; a sister Mrs. Thelma Garcia of Jacksonville; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Miles S. King, Charles A. Behrens, Bruce Marley, Paula Nana, E. W. Jorgensen, and T. R. Roberts. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Thursday.
