Cremation rites were accorded, and private family burial will be in Dana Cemetery. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Dana United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ivy Silas officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service Saturday at the church. Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dana United Methodist Church or the Clemente Mission Fund in Taiwan.
Addy was born Dec. 26, 1912, in Long Point, the daughter of George A. and Sarah E. Willis McDowell. She married Fred H. Seggerman on March 2, 1933, in Streator. He died April 21, 1992.
Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie (Max) Cottrell and Judy (John) Mowery, both of Avon. She had four grandchildren, Clark (Marcy) Cottrell, Carol Berger, Susan Mowery and Sarah (David) Clemente, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters.
Addy was a member of Dana United Methodist Church. She worked as a postal clerk in Dana for over 20 years. She enjoyed music, playing bridge, watching the Cubs and she was an avid reader. She loved her family dearly.
