Azalee (Dorthy) Roderick was born to George and Bessie Brown Roderick at Fonde, Ky. She attended school at Duff, Tenn.

She married George Bane in 1949, and they were divorced in 1954.

She was among the earliest members of the Clarkston Eagles Auxiliary and served as madam conductor in 1979. She also belonged to the Lewiston Eagles for 15 years.

She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Cynthia Roderick, Lucille Dickerson and Shirley Gene Roderick, and a brother, William F. Roderick.
