Mrs. Brennen attended elementary and high school in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. She married Orval J. Brennen on June 15, 1925 in Montesano, Washington. The Brennen's moved to Middletown in 1928, operating Brennen's Garage on Main Street. Mrs. Brennen was the bookkeeper for the business until the couple retired in 1968.
Mrs. Brennen also worked as a clerk for the California Department of Forestry for a short time during WWII. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star from 1917 to the present, and a member of the Oro Fino Rebekah Lodge for a number of years. She was a charter member of the Middletown luncheon Club and a long time member of the Guenoc Grange.
Mrs. Brennen was an accomplished musician and played the piano and organ for he Middletown Community Church on a regular basis from 1938 until semi retirement in 1965. She continued to serve as a back up musician for the church after her retirement and was a member of the church choir for many years.
