Violet Dreishpoon was born Vittel Dreishpoon, the daughter of Sam (Sheftel) Dreishpoon and Jenny (Genya) Augenblick in Kiev, Russia. She came to the US from France with her parents in September 1915 to Brooklyn, New York.

Violet was married first to Dr. Elias Abrahams on Nov 24, 1932 in Brooklyn, Kings Co, NY.

She married second to Harry Rothenberg Oct 12, 1963 in Brooklyn, Kings Co, NY.

My grandmother was an artist. Following the death of my grandfather Ely, she supported herself and two sons as an art teacher. She was also an avid antique collector. Following the retirement of her second husband, they moved to North Port, Florida where she opened an antique shop.
