Joe Heidenfelder was the son of Paul Henry and Catherine (Meurer) Heidenfelder.

Joe is survived by his wife, Jessie Heidenfelder.

His brothers and sisters included Fentan, Johanna, Paul, Christine, Francis, Mary, Catherine, Margaret, Marie, Virginia, Catherine, Bernard, Norbert and Robert.

Joe Heidenfelder was a young Marine stationed at the Marine Barracks at Pearl Harbor on Sunday morning, December 7th, 1941, when it was attacked. Joe spent most of that day helping retrieve bodies from the harbor. He remained in the Marine Corps through WWII and Korea, retiring as a Master Sgt.

Joe F. Heidenfelder, 83, a resident of Wimberley, passed away Dec. 8. The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 there at St. Mary's. Interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
