June 11, 1931- Feb 6, 2004
PEDRO- Nannabelle Adkins, 72 of Pedro died Friday at King's Daughters
Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Olive Hill, Ky. native was born June 11, 1931,
the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Fultz Phillips. She was the wife of the
late Edwin D Adkins. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, Dallas Keaton; and a
granddaughter, Ashley Leeann Adkins.
Survivors include two daughters Kathy Akers of South Point and Annette and Brent Sharp of Pedro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael J. and Brenda Adkins of Pedro and Steve and Terri Adkins of South Point; seven grandchilden;
one brother and sister-in-law. Billy Joe and Eloise Phillips of Pedro; three sisters
and a brother-in-law, Karen and John Wilson of Oak Hill; Sandy McCallister of
Ironton and Sylivia Bowdle of Frankfort.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Slabfork United Methodist Church, with the Rev.
Brian Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Slabfork Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9
p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Homes. The body will lie in state 1-2 p.m. at the
church.
