William Joseph Brownfield, age 74 years, of Aurora, IL died Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Provena-Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born June 7, 1933 in Madison, IN the son of the late Joseph and Mary Louise (nee Cook) Brownfield.

Bill had worked for Deluxe and American Cab Companies for many years as a driver. He served his country with the USMC. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors include Iris A LeBleu, step-sister Teresa Massie-Peterson, Harold Stearman, Benjamin L. Davis, Ruby and Delbert Shore and many friends; as well as Bishop Ed Howell and members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Graveside services with military honors and services by members of his church will be held on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
