John "Rick" Sloas, 51, passed away April 14, 2008, at SOMC Hospice. He is survived by his two children, Cody and Hannah Jean; his mother, Shelby; brother, Michael and wife, Clare, and their two daughters, Brook and Beth.
He was preceded in death by his father, John.
He was employed at AK Steel for 30 years, a member of the Steel Workers Union of America. He was a graduate of Green High School in 1974. He loved the sport of football, and always was on the sideline
