STAYTON—Mrs. Anna Arthur, longtime resident of the Stayton-Marion area, died Saturday at Salem nursing home at the age of 84.
Born in La Grande in 1877, she lived in the northeastern Oregon area until coming to Stayton in 1936. She had lived all her life in Oregon. She was a member of the Christian Church for 53 years.
Survivors are three children, Minnie Bossert, Salem; Ivan Sutton, Jefferson; and Miles Arthur, Albany; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending at Weddle Funeral Home.
