Nealie E. Ross was born 4 June 1909 in Fulton County, Arkansas to the parents of William Elijah Ross (1871–1951) and Elizabeth J. Key (1873–1956). In 1910 at 1 year old she was living in Big Creek, Fulton County, Arkansas.

In 1920 at age 11 she was residing in Wild Cherry, Fulton, Arkansas. In 1925 she at age 19 gave birth to Vida Arleen Sanders. William Sanders and Nealie Ross were married on 21 Mar 1924 in Izard County, Arkansas. They were divorced 3 years later.

On 30 June 1929, Nealie, a 20 year old at the time, married George C. Foster in Fulton County, Arkansas (Arkansas County Marriages, 1837-1957). She became a step-mother to George's daughter, Vanie M. Foster, and son, Noah D. Foster. George's first wife Ola "Rand" Foster passed away on Jan. 17, 1929.

In 1930, Nealie was residing in Wild Cherry, Fulton County, Arkansas. The following year on September 20th, 1931, Nealie married Marcus Roper in Fulton County, Arkansas (Arkansas County Marriages, 1837-1957).

On 9 July 1933 at age 24, Nealie married Rice Alderson in Fulton Co., Arkansas (Arkansas County Marriages, 1837-1957). In 1942, Nealie is shown residing with Rice Alderson in Viola, Fulton County, Arkansas and listed on Rice's World War II Draft Registration Card.

Sometime after 1957 she married a McGlasson. In 1963, Nealie was issued SSN# 431-86-4685 in Arkansas. On the S.S. Death Index, Nealie is listed as Nealie McGlasson in 1971.

On 2 October 1971 she passed away in Viola, Fulton County, Arkansas. She died in a house fire. She is buried in Elizabeth, Fulton County, Arkansas in Elizabeth Cemetery.
