He was born Dec. 2, 1933, in Birmingham, Ala, to Albert Henry Sr. and Flora (Kelly) Ambler. On April 19, 1960, he married Patricia Ann Reed in Shawnee. Albert retired from Kerr McGee where he worked as an Oil Blender. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Prague.
His parents, and one sister, Ruth Taylor, preceded Albert in death. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Patricia Ambler of the home; sons, Albert Henry Ambler III, and his wife Debbie of Allen, Okla, Charles Lamar Ambler and his wife Shari of Folsom, Calif; daughter, Bonnie Stephens and her husband Bill of Allen, Okla; grandchildren, Jamie Wilson, Kirby Hogue, Lindsay Linker, Marla Mohan, Chad Ambler, Teri McCarn, Tami Matthews, and Nicole Ambler; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Cheyene McCarn, Zoe, Conner, and Kyla Mohan, Sarah and Trent Wilson, and Kason Linker; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Frances Bush of Lake Placid, Fla, Jean Marie and Charles Whiteman of Moore, Okla, Margaret Lee Baird of Shawnee, Mae Ellen Peoples of Norman, and Hazel and Ron Fisher of Oklahoma City.
Service will be Tuesday at 10 am at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 500 SW 104th Street, Oklahoma City at 2 pm. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
