Ruth Lee Baugher, 94, of Harrisonburg, who had been a resident of Loyalton of Harrisonburg, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Baugher was born Aug. 2, 1913, in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of the late David Hollar and Ruby Myers House.
She lived all of her life in Harrisonburg and graduated from Harrisonburg High School. She was employed by James Madison University and was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Shenandoah Valley Chapter No. 76 Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a 54-year member and past president of Turner Ashby Chapter 162 United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Her husband, James Harvey Baugher, preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1970.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
The Eastern Star will conduct a service at 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home. Friends will be received following the service.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 14, from the Chapel of the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Community Mausoleum in Woodbine Cemetery.
