Bud Stoner passed away on July 10, 2008 after a lengthy illness; he passed into God's arms with his loving sons by his side. Bud was born on February 18, 1941 in Tulare, CA to Herschel G. and Clara Stoner. He was a resident of Taft for over 40 years. He attended Tulare Union High School and graduated in 1959. After high school he proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, stationed in Europe. He traveled the world while working for Occidental, but his chosen profession was truck driving. He especially loved his last employer, Cooper's Petroleum, and owner Norman Cooper, where he drove fuel tankers. He married Mickey Stoner in 1975 and they were married for 33 years. Bud was an avid gun collector, NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching The Price is Right with Drew Carey. The thing he enjoyed most was spending time with his grandchildren, especially picking them up from school every day. He is survived by his loving wife, Mickey of Taft; his sons, Robby Caudle and wife, Bianca of Taft, Corey of Bakersfield; daughter, Rachel and husband, Mikey, of Taft; son, Steven of Visalia; brother, Michael Stoner and wife, Gloria of Tulare; sister-in-law, Kathy Line and husband, Dan of Taft; nephew Denver Stoner of Tulare; niece, Robin Stoner of Tulare; and grandchildren, Beri, Lucy, Robbi, Landon, Bodey and Mary Rose; and many friends. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the West Side District Cemetery. No public visitation hours are scheduled and the arrangements are under the direction of the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home. Bud's family would like to give a special thanks to the nursing staff of Glenwood Gardens and Hoffmann Hospice for the care they provided. Bud was loved tremendously by his family. His loss will leave a void in the hearts of all who loved him. We love you, Dad!
