Joyce Maudelle Perkins Adams died on November 5, 2003. She was born March 7, 1933 in Batesville, Texas, to the late John and Opal Perkins. She graduated from Harlandale High School in San Antonio, Texas in the class of 1950, serving as class salutatorian. She attended San Antonio College and Louisiana State University. In earlier years she was active in the Victoria Music Club, serving as president one year. She was a member of Baptist Temple.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Barry Perkins, and grand-daughter Sarah Marie Petrash.
She is survived by her husband, Calvin W. Adams of Victoria; daughters, April Siegfried of Houston, Melody Crabill and Cynthia Perez both of Victoria; son, Michael Adams of Santa Fe, New Mexico; sister, Mary Nell Haywood of San Antonio, eleven Grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, November 7, 2003 from the Rosewood Funeral Chapel, 3304 Mockingbird Lane. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 8, 2003 from the Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Larry Helms officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Siegfried, Jesse Perez, David Crabill, Ryan Siegfried, Sean Petrash and Mark Longoria. Honorary Pallbearers are John Michael Perez and Will Siegfried.
