Fannie attended the rock school house on her father's ranch and graduated from
college and became a school teacher. She taught school for two years in Big
Foot, Frio, Texas. She then became a teacher in Devine, Medina County, Texas. In
a short time she was assigned as a principal of the intermediate school in
Devine. She died on Sunday 15 June 1902 at 8:15 a.m. She was to marry William M.
Williamson during that weekend, but her death changed plans for them both. After
her death William dated her sister Lena Love Redus and soon married her. Some
relatives told George M. Redus Sr. that Lena was married in Fannie's wedding
dress. Fannie was well liked by all who knew her. Her students were very fond of
her.
