Mrs Dicks had resided in Barnwell for a great number of years, having come here with her husband, the late R.W. Dicks, who predeceased her about three years ago. She was a native of Barnwell county and had spent her entire life in this county.
Mrs. Dicks was a devoted member of the Barnwell Methodist Church, living like a true Christian. Her Character was of the highest and she had many friends since becoming a citizen of Barnwell.
Surviving Children, all of whom have the deepest sympathy of a wide circle of friends, are, Mrs. Daisy D. Bennett, J.Norman Dicks, W.S. Dicks and J.E. Dicks of Barnwell, Mrs. W.E. Bennett of Springfield and C.F. Dicks of Columbia. 13 Grandchildren and two Great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs J.C. Wooley, Livingston, Mrs R.M. Harley, Orangeburg, Mrs. Georgia Riley, Sylvania, Ga.,Mrs Julia Woodward,
Williston.
Funeral services will be held at the home on Railroad Avenue Sunday afternoon at 4:30 P.M. with the Rev. J.A. Estes, Baptist minister conducting the last rites. Interment will follow in the local churchyard.
