Mrs. Minnie M. Austin, 81, of Winona, died of congestive heart failure March 28, 2001 at her residence. She was a retired educator.
Funeral services were held April 1 at Ed Roberts Chapel of Remembrance in Winona with the Rev. Mark Williamson officiating. Burial was in Hays Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Austin is survived by her husband, Jimmie Lee Austin of Winona; three sons, Jimmie Austin, Lonnie Austin, both of Winona; Maude Austin of Chicago; two daughters, Shirley Austin Brown of Muncie, Ind.; Earletha Austin of Winona; one brother. Rev. L.V. Powell of Winona; three sisters, Earlean Bays of Eupora; Bettye Trotter, Lou Georgia Jeffries, both of Winona; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Roberts & Sons Mortuary of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
