GALESBURG - John Emmanuel Ball, 95, formerly of Buffalo, Iowa, departed his life Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg. He was born June 21, 1913, in Vandalia, Mo., the son of Louis and Mary (Salmon) Ball. Burial will be in Memorial Park, Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be Saturday, July 12, at 10 a.m. and service will follow at 11 a.m. at Orr's Mortuary, 1326 4th Ave., Rock Island.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Eula; a daughter, Barbara Woodard; son, John Jr.; and a grandson, Jack. He leaves to celebrate his life a daughter, Bonnie Harris (James) of Galesburg; son, Jack Ball (Jan) of Davenport, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice or the Boy's and Girl's Club, 235 E. Main St., Galesburg, IL 61401.
