Fray Duggins


Fray Duggins passed away Monday afternoon, July 7, 2008 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR at the age of 81. He was born on August 18, 1926 in Ocie, MO, the second child of Ira and Ethel (Tannehille) Duggins.

On January 10, 1946, Fray was united in marriage to Freeda Quick in Mountain Home, AR. To this union two daughters were born, Janice and Judy.

Fray was a United States mail carrier for thirty-five years, and an employee of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home for another eleven years. But more important was his role at Lilly Ridge General Baptist Church. He served as Deacon, Sunday school teacher, and song leader. He was a positive influence and an ideal role model for all who knew him. His friendly smile and kind, gentle manner will be greatly missed.

Fray is survived by his wife Freeda of the home; daughter Judy Hambelton of Gainesville, MO; son-in-law Bob Wray of Wichita, KS; three sisters Hazel Brewer, Ruby Anderson and husband Frank, Delphia Holmes and husband Palmer all of Gainesville, MO; five grandchildren Brian Wray and Melissa Wray of Wichita, KS, Christy Thompson and husband Shawn, Tina Strong and husband Rod, Beth Ann Blackburn and husband Walker all of Gainesville, MO; and six great grandchildren Austin Thompson, Logan Strong, Madison Strong, Gracyn Blackburn, Gentry Blackburn, and James Henry Wray.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Janice Wray, and one son-in-law Gary Hambelton.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2008, 10:00 AM at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO. Interment will be at Lutie Cemetery in Theodosia, MO. Visitation will be open from 1:00 PM til 7:00 PM with family receiving friends from 6 til 7 PM on Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Family requests memorials to Foundation of Hope PO Box 714, Gainesville, MO 65655. Arrangements are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville
