Word has been received here of the death Saturday of Mrs. Joyce Ross Bailey, 76, at a Charlotte, NC hospital. Mrs. Bailey was the mother of Louis T. Bailey of Route 3.
Mrs. Bailey was a native of Laurens County and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church near Roebuck. She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Joyce Ross.
Surviving in addition to Mr. Bailey are one other son, E. A. Bailey of Charlotte; one daughter, Mrs. B. L. Black of Charlotte; and one brother, Arnold Ross of Fork Shoals; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church by the Revs. J. T. Lake and Harry McBee. Burial will be in the churchyard.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
The body is at McCuen's Funeral Home of Charlotte. It will be taken to the church Monday at 11:30 a.m. J. F. Floyd Mortuary is in charge of local arrangements. The family is at the home of L. T. Bailey.
