ACKERMAN, CHERYL WORLAND, 57, of Louisville passed away Saturday, January 5, 2008 at the inpatient unit at Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville downtown.

She was an RN for the old Methodist Hospital and Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, a member of St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church and enjoyed Bunco with a group of longtime girlfriends.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Raymond Ackerman; son, Matt Ackerman (Shelly); daughter, Betsy Rodway (Ben); grandchildren, Emerson and Matthew Ackerman and Benjamin and Ada Rodway; two brothers, John Jr. and Jimmy Worland; two sisters, Mary Beth Worland (Bob) and Cathy Lauersdorf (Wolf); and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday and 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to American Cancer Society or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville.
