"Died, in Northampton on Friday morning last, after a long illness, in the 38th year of her age, Mrs Lucy Ashmun,wife of the Hon Eli P Ashmun. All who had the pleasure of an intimate acquaintance with the deceased will bear testimony to the uncommon merits of the woman, the amiableness of the friend, the cheerful, mild disposition of the wife, the gentleness of the mother"
