MARY LEHRKINDER, 81, of KEANSBURG, formerly of Red Bank and Westwood, passed away peacefully under the loving care of the staff at Bayside Manor. Her passing was also assisted by the St. Barnabas Hospice Team. Mary was born in Union City, and spent time growing up in Shenandoah, Pa. She worked at Met Life Insurance Co. before becoming a full time homemaker. Mary dedicated her life to her husband Gerard, who she was married to, for over 50 years. They were inseparable during this time and she will now be living with him in heaven.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Frances Politis, and her sister Antoinette. Surviving are her son Thomas, and his wife Lynne, and three wonderful grandchildren who she loved dearly, Timothy, Ryan and Patrick.

Visitation will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, at John E. Day Funeral Home, 8 Riverside Ave., Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Wellness Community of Monmouth County, 613 Hope Rd., Eatontown, NJ 07724, or St. Barnabas Hospice, 95 Old Short Hills Rd., 1st floor, West Orange, NJ 07052.
