Anna Golembiewski Shalkoski, 98, of New Kensington, died Friday (Jan. 23, 1998) in Oakmont Nursing Center, Oakmont. Born April 1, 1899, in New Kensington, she lived there all her life. Mrs. Shalkoski was a member of the New Kensington Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and reading. Survivors include her two sons, Harry Eugene Shalkoski of Salisbury, N.C., and Robert Russell Shalkoski of New Kensington; a daughter, Joy L. Shalkoski, with whom she made her home; a granddaughter; two great-granddaughters; two great-great-granddaughters; and a brother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Shalkoski, in 1980, her parents; two brothers; and two sisters. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 1998, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Route 56 East, New Kensington. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Arnold. Arrangements were made by the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., New Kensington.
