James was born in Ireland. As of 1780, He lived in Craig's Scotch-Irish settlement and farmed.

According to the 1785, 1786, & 1788 Ferderal Tax List, a man named James Allison owned 86 acres in Allen Township. This property was later owned by Daniel Seager. That James was not listed in the 1790 Census. Did he die between 1788-1790?

It is thought that the Allison(s) in the settlement records were his children:
Sarah Allison married Joseph Horner
Mary Allison married Joseph Hays
Jennie/Jean Allison married William Scott
Ann Allison married James Wilson (not related to Hugh Wilson)

The Blair family were descendants on the mother's side of the family...The Scotch-Irish of Northampton Co. pg. 55.
