Marjorie Mae "Margie" Cannon was born on Jan. 27, 1927 in a log cabin located in Box Spring Hollow (now Nosco Rd), not far from Junction City, Boyle Co., Kentucky. She was the daughter of Jesse James "Jess" Cannon (1898-1954) and Mary Adleline "Susie" Schlachter (1900-1998), both buried in the Junction City Cemetery.

Her father, Jesse, was born on a farm near Liberty, Marion Co., KY. He was the son of James Harrison "Jim" Cannon (1854-1928) and Polly Anne Young (1868-1945). James was born in Tennessee, Polly in Lincoln Co., KY.

Margie's mother, Mary, was born in Lincoln Co., KY. She was the daughter of Hezekial Young (1846-1925) and Eleen Elizabeth "Bessie" Yocum (1841-aft 1900). Hezekial was born in Lee Co., Virginia, Bessie near South Fork, Lincoln Co., KY.

On Mar. 11, 1923 in Jeffersonville, Clark Co., Indiana, Jesse married Susie Schlachter. Jesse was 24, Susie 22. She was the daughter of Joseph Lee "Joe" Schlachter (1876-1952) and Myra "Mary" Davidson (1878-1935). Joe was born in the Grand Duchy of Baden (now a German state) and had immigrated to America with his parents in 1890 at the age of 13. Mary was born in/near Mt. Washington, Bullitt Co., KY. Both are buried in the Junction City Cemetery.

On Feb. 9, 1946, in Perryville, Boyle Co., KY, Margie married Carl William Bodner (1925-2008). Not long (1947) after their marriage they moved to the Detroit area of Michigan. Carl was born in Marion Co., KY, the son of Adolph J. Bodner (1881-1954) and Margie Lunsford (1889-1929). Margie and Carl were married 62 years!

Carl's surname was pronounce "Bode-ner". His father, Adolph, had immigrated from Austria (Germanic) to America in 1889 with his parents. Carl's mother, Margie, was born in Stanford, Lincoln Co., KY. Both of Carl's parents are buried in Stanford, Lincoln Co., KY in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Carl died on Apr. 26, 2008 in Utica, Macomb Co., Michigan at the age of 82. His body was transported back to Kentucky and is buried in the Junction City Cemetery.

About 2013, Margie (86) married 89 year old widower, Ross Jarvis (1924-aft 2013).

Margie passed away peacefully on July 30, 2018 in Michigan at the age of 91. Her body was also transported back to Kentucky to be buried in the Junction City Cemetery, next to her first husband, Carl.
